Robert M. Zahn
Robert completed the Local 666 IBEW apprenticeship program in 1984 and received an “Award of Distinction” from the apprenticeship committee. He worked as a journeyman electrician and taught a National Electrical Code night class for the apprenticeship program from 1985-1988. Robert came to C&W in 1986 and has worked as an electrician, foreman, scheduler, project manager, Vice President, and now President/CEO. Some of his projects includes: Anheuser-Busch Brewhouse Upgrade, Infineon PAT building and Tool Installation, “Griffon ” at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, “Verbolten” at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and “Jungala” at Busch Garden Tampa.
James E. “Jay” Atkinson, III
Jay is a Vice-President/Secretary, project manager, estimator, and serves on the Board of Directors for C&W. He finished the IBEW apprentice program and was a field electrician for several years. He also worked in our service department for several years. He was promoted to foreman and then to estimator and project manager after years of field experience. He has completed several courses in Job Supervision, Estimating, Project Management, and Microsoft Business Software. His most prominent projects have been the Philip Morris EHQ Renovation, the "Diet Expansion Project", and Bay 9 Expansion Project at Philip Morris, the Unit 5 SCR Project at Dominion Generation’s Chesterfield Power Station, and the MillerCoors Shenandoah Brewery Project. Jay has completed several large design build projects that were successful for our customers and C&W from conceptual budget estimates to finished projects. He also handles the ongoing field supervision training process for C&W.
Carson W. Rogers, Jr.
Carson Rogers is Vice President, Director and Manager of our Instrumentation and Mechanical Divisions. He has over twenty five years’ experience in industrial electrical controls and instrument applications. Carson completed the IBEW electrical apprenticeship program, worked as a field electrician, and supervised electrical construction for 12 years. As a Project Manager and Estimator he has completed projects such as; Brew house Modernization for Anheuser Busch, Ball Metal Controls Modernization, Miller/Coors Brewery, SeaWorld Aquatica, Philip Morris DMW Mini Primary, John Middleton Project Park, Dominion Power Chesterfield Power Station U3, U4, & U5 SCR installation, and Fort Lee Ordinance School Central Campus II. Carson has been with Chewning and Wilmer since 1985.
Jeffrey E. “Jeff” Lynch
Jeff is Director of Finance and Treasurer for Chewning & Wilmer. He manages financial reporting, risk management, corporate finance and human resource/benefit management. Jeff graduated from James Madison University in December, 1986 earning a Bachelors degree in Marketing with a minor in Economics. In 1998, after completing the requirements for a Certificate in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University, he became a licensed CPA. Jeff has extensive experience in banking, public accounting and the title insurance industries. He is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Construction Financial Management Association. Currently, Jeff serves as a management trustee on the Board of Trustees for the Benefit Trust Fund.
Don McMillon is Vice President, Manager of Chewning & Wilmer, Inc.’s Southern Division in Texarkana, Texas. Don completed Local 301 IBEW apprenticeship Program in 1989 then worked as an field electrician, Foremen, General Foremen, Superintendent, Project Manager and Construction Manager. He has over 25 years’ experience in Industrial electrical and instrumentation. He holds Masters licenses or Contractors licenses in 27 states. Some of his projects include: Brazos Electric Power COOP DCS and Instrumentation upgrade, El Paso Electric DCS and Instrumentation upgrade, Valero Refining DCS and Instrumentation upgrade, Delek Refining DCS and Instrumentation upgrade, Kraton Polymers DCS and Instrumentation upgrade.
